2023 Kiwanis Home & Garden Show sponsored by American Metal Roofs.
The Escanaba Kiwanis Club would like to thank everyone involved in making the 2023 Home and Garden Show and Pancake Days an excellent success, especially our show sponsor, American Metal Roofs of Northern Wisconsin. This year a huge army of volunteers assisted in our set-up and tear-down, service of our pancake meal and 50/50 ticket sales. They include members of: Delta Chamber Ambassadors, Gladstone-Rapid River Kiwanis, Bay Bank, Peninsula Federal Credit Union, and Integra First Federal Credit Union, Scout Troops 408, 410 and 411, along with family and friends of Kiwanis.
We also appreciate the work of Rebecca Krans of the MSU Extension and the Master Gardeners for the excellent Smart Gardening presentations held throughout the weekend, the Escanaba Key Club for their painting and planting projects for children, the Bonifas Arts Center for kids projects and the UP Steam and Gas Association for the excellent display, demonstrations and tractor rides.
We always receive excellent support from local media and this year was no exception with thanks going to RRN, WYKX/WDBC, TV6, TV19 and the Daily Press.
We also received much appreciated contributions from the following local businesses:
Jasper Sugar Bush, Escanaba McDonalds, Norway Springs, DS Tech and UP State Bank. Additional thanks to Escanaba Moving Systems who has stored our pancake supplies for many years and are so helpful to us. For the second year, Ness Contracting has sponsored a children’s scavenger hunt, providing prizes for all participants and a Razor electric scooter as a grand prize.
Thank you also to the vendors and community members who have supported us so well for the past 66 years. We’ll see you at next year’s show April 12-14, 2024.
