Escanaba Kiwanis visits Scout Camp Hiawatha

Camp Hiawatha is a jewel in God’s Country, and Scouts from around the Midwest are lucky to enjoy all that Camp Hiawatha offers. Kiwanis was given a fantastic tour by Alan Barr, Erick Kestila, and Craig Woerpel, leaders from the Bay Lakes Scout Council.  Throughout the summer, about 250 Scouts each week visit this amazing camp while they learn valuable leadership skills. They also work on merit badge requirements for everything from swimming to wilderness survival. Oh, and they have a TON of fun while they are learning these great life lessons. What an amazing resource for kids who are part of the Scout program!
